Merry
Xmas. Most of these updates are very late
because I spent all of my free time preparing the section below. -Marcelo

- Sunday, December 25, 2005
As a Xmas
present, I am releasing the English translation of the Japanese only Last
Mission. For those that don't know, Last Mission is the true finale to
Final Fantasy X-2, but it has not been released outside of Japan. I started this
translation project almost two years ago. Almost every translator that
agreed to translate the text, bailed on the project. After so many failed
attempts at getting this translated, I thought it would never be finished.
I'm glad I took the extra steps to get this project finished. Also,
without my wife, this would have never been finished in time. Thanks baby.

This is so great, Final
Fantasy IV has been announced for a Game Boy Advance release on Decemeber
12. Just like Dawn of Souls, it's supposed to have new content.
Anybody else see the pattern here, FF1+2+4 on Game Boy Advance, just like they
did with the WonderSwan Color. No Final Fantasy III in sight, except for
the announcement that it will be released for the Nintendo DS. -Marcelo X

As some of you may know,
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has been dumped and made available for download
for a few days now. While I don't promote piracy, the movie won't
be released here for a while. So, if you download and enjoy the movie,
please purchase it once it's released in your country. With that said,
I was modifying the recently released, fan
translated, English subtitles for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children as a little
something to give my wife some laughs. Well, I couldn't stop working on
the project, so I ended up re-translating the entire movie instead of just a few
minutes of it. Keep in mind that this translation is supposed to be funny,
if you haven't seen the movie with the accurate translation, then watch that one
first. A few little side notes - This translation has two sentences where
foul language is used and the humor doesn't really start until Cloud reaches
Healin. Download it

I didn't have a
chance to announce this release due to a really busy week in my personal
life. Anyway, on June 10 the P901iS was released in Japan. This
cellphone model comes with Final Fantasy II pre-installed. What makes this
so special is that this version of Final Fantasy II is unlike any other
release. Some graphics, mostly characters and battles, resemble the Game
Boy Advance port and the rest of the graphics are just slightly updated graphics
from the Family Computer/Nintendo Entertainment System original. I have
previously made a section of this site that is dedicated to this very unique
version. Check it out here.
I have also updated the regular Final Fantasy II section with the release date
of this version, check it out here. -Marcelo X

As you can
probably tell, this May 29th update is somewhat large. I have decided to
keep the recently added pictures in high quality, so this site is pretty much
unfriendly to dial-up visitors now. It's been headed down this road for
some time now, so this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. I don't
see this affecting the high speed visitors at all, except a couple more seconds
of loading per section. -Marcelo X
